Dr. Hamid Samaha, head of the General Authority for Veterinary Services in Agriculture Ministry, affirmed that the national campaign for confronting bird flu, which continues all through three months, has succeeded in reducing the rate of bird flu infection among the domestic birds, as only 3 positive cases appeared in August.

In his speech to the opening session of the Future Vision for Fighting Bird Flu symposium, Dr. Samaha referred to the disappearance of infection in the farms till this month of August.

He confirmed that organic technology is used now for solving the mystery of hereditary change of the virus, as well as means to evaluate the fortification capability, and measuring the immunity level after the fortification.
