Egypt's Permanent delegate to the United Nations (UN), Ambassador Hesham Badr said on 3/4/2009 that Egypt urged the developed countries to cooperate with the developing countries in the field of vaccines to combat bird flu.

This came during the meeting which was organized by foreign policy and health under the leader ship of Norway.

About 20 countries were invited to attend the meeting to discuss preparations needed to produce serums and vaccines for Bird Flu.
